Israel Defense Minister Pinhas Lavon today reported to the Cabinet that, during the last three days, Egyptian troops attacked Israeli positions three times near Kissufim, along the Gaza strip. In one attack, they were repulsed with the result that the Israeli forces captured and held Egyptian positions for several hours.
Mr. Lavon said that six Egyptians were killed and several wounded in the clashes. On the Israeli side, one was killed and two wounded. A complaint against Egypt for breaking the armistice has been lodged by Israel with the Mixed Armistice Commission, Mr. Lavon reported.
