A report that “King Solomon’s mines have been discovered in Southern Israel” is published in the News-Chronicle today. The report says that the existence of copper and iron ore underground has been proven by geological research secretly conducted in two spots.
“In one spot,” the paper reports, “gold has been found which even King Solomon failed to find when he looked for it nearly 3,000 years ago. A decision of the Israel Cabinet is expected shortly which will launch mining operations to exploit what may be fabulous discoveries,” the paper adds.
