The advanced funds were presented to Dr. Dov Joseph, Israel’s Minister of Communications, who was also presented with the keys of the city of Pittsburgh by Mayor David L. Lawrence. Principal speakers included Dr. Dov Joseph; Dr. Joseph J. Schwartz, executive vice-chairman of the U.J.A.; Eddie Cantor and others. More than 800 leaders of 75 communities participated in the gathering.
