Joseph Buehler, former chief administrative officer of the Nazi occupation government in Poland, was yesterday sentenced to death by the Supreme National Tribunal here for the murder of millions of Jews and Poles.
Buehler, one of the most important Nazi war criminal apprehended and tried by the Polish Government, was accused of responsibility for the planning and execution of an annihilation program under which 2,500,000 Jews were murdered. He was also found guilty of responsibility in the deportation of some 2,000,000 Poles and Jews.
