Haavara, agency set up to execute the Germany-Palestine transfer agreement which aided Jewish refugees in taking a portion of their capital out of the Reich, announced today that it is winding up its operations since the basis of its existence has been removed. The agency was organized in Nov., 1933, and in the period ending June 30, 1939, handled transfers totalling 105,000,000 marks (about $35,000,000).
