Publication of The Reconstructionist, Anglo-Jewish magazine, beginning January, was announced Friday by the Society for the Advancement of Judaism, 15 East Eighty-sixth Street.
The newcomer to the local Anglo-Jewish field, to be issued twice monthly, is “dedicated to the advancement of Judaism as a religious civilization, to the upbuilding of Israel’s ancient Homeland, and to the furtherance of universal freedom, justice and peace.”
The editorial board consists of Mordecai M. Kaplan, leader of the Society for the Advancement of Judaism, and Rabbis Ben Zion Bokser, Ira Eisenstein, Israel Goldstein of Congregational nai Jeshurun, Eugene Kohn, Leon S. Lang of Congregation Cheb Shalom, Newark, N. J., and Milton Steinberg of the Park Avenue Synagogue.
