The body of the late Israel Rokeach who died recently in Brooklyn at the age of 92, and that of his wife, who died many years ago, will be transported on the Cosulich liner Vulcania, to Palestine, for permanent burial there, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency learned yesterday. The Vulcania sails for Palestine Saturday, October 21.
Interment in Palestine was long the wish of the late Mr. Rokeach, and he inserted a provision to that effect in his will. Shortly before he died, Mr. Rokeach purchased a plot in a cemetery on the Mount of Olives overlooking Jerusalem.
Dr. Aaron Rokeach who succeeded his father as president of the firm of I. Rokeach and Sons, Inc., his daughter, Mrs. Selma Kamaiky, Mrs. Aaron Rokeach, Mrs. Levy Rokeach and other members of the family will accompany the bodies to Palestine.
