As a “world leader in organic chemistry”, Dr. Richard Willstaetter of Munich, winner of the Nobel Prize in 1915, will be awarded the Willard Gibbs Medal for 1933, outstanding American distinction in the realm of chemistry bestowed annually by the Chicago Section of the American. Chemical Society, at a dinner to be held at the Stevens Hotel on Wednesday evening.
This will be the occasion of the eighty-sixth meeting of the American Chemical Society, which will be held in connection with the Century of Progress Exposition. A distinguished group of scientists from Europe and America will witness the ceremony.
