A non-sectarian meeting in New Rochelle has been called for June 6, to demand protection of the rights of the Jews in Germany. A committee of thirty-one civic leaders of the several communities in Westchester County have joined the committee which is making arrangements for the meeting, which will be held in the auditorium of the Senior High School. It is being called to express the solidarity of Jewish and non-Jewish opinion in Westchester County in the condemnation of the Hitler persecution of the Jews. Bishop Francis J. McConnell and James W. Gerard, former Ambassador to Germany, will speak.
The Committee of Sponsors, headed by Mark Eisner, includes: Mayor Walter S. Otto, New Rochelle; Mayor Joseph F. Loehr, Yonkers; Supreme Court Justice Joseph Morschauser, White Plains; Samuel Untermeyer, and many other representatives of various groups.
