The home of Deputy Kurt Loewenstein was attacked last night.

A number of persons entered the house, locked Herr Loewenstein into his bedroom and then proceeded to break windows, furnishings and demolish the study.

Loewenstein managed to summon the police, who arrested one person.

Herr Loewenstein is the well known protagonist of school reform in the Berlin municipality.

The “Vorwaerts” in reporting the attack upon Kurt Loewenstein, a member of the Reichstag, asserts that he was attacked by uniformed Nazis, who planned to murder him.

Ten shots were fired into the bedroom where he was barricaded, the paper asserts.

A Jewish merchant, Guentter Falkenstein, was shot dead this evening in Grolmannstrasse. The murderers made their escape.
